The Effect of Dust on Global Ultraviolet Solar Radiation in the Range ( 0.290 – 0.385 μm ) Reach Basrah City 30.5oN

In this paper, The global ultraviolet radiation was measured and recorded on an hourly basis in Basrah (latitude 30.5oN, longitude 47.5o E) during the period 1999 / 2000. The global ultraviolet radiation (U.V) was measured by an Epply ultraviolet radiation (photometer) (0.290 – 0.385um)[1]. Intensity variation of global daily ultraviolet radiation throughout the year and the effect of dust on daily total ultraviolet radiation were investigated. It was found that the highest ultraviolet radiation levels are received during June and that the daily total ultraviolet is approximately lower by 28.07% during dusty days. From measurements carried out, it was found that, on average, 3.05% of the monthly – daily global radiation received is ultraviolet radiation

Current-Voltage characteristics of Iodine-doped 4-4' Diaminodiphenyl
Sulphone terminated Poly (P-Aminobenzaldoxime) (PABD-DDS):I2 thin films in
metal / polymer /metal structure have been investigated. Measurements have
been carried out at temperature range 305-373K to determine the
conduction mechanism. It was found that charge transfer complexes conduction mechanism is a
dominant one throughout the temperature range studied. The average values of drift mobility and
trapped carrier density estimated from these characteristics have been found strongly effected by the presence of impurities. The dependence of current and activation energy on the iodine concentration
were explained on the basis of charge transfer interaction type between impurities and polymer structure.

We have investigated the role of instability-threshold ( the second-threshold ) on the dynamical behavior of the Lorenz-Haken laser system .Here, we report theoretical results of instabilities leading to chaos at low
instability threshold , obtained through variation the laser system control parameters over a wide range of laser operating conditions.

A study of the optical limiting properties of acid red 92 doped PMMA film using a 532 nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser

Nonlinear optical properties of acid red 92 doped PMMA film have been investigated. The measurements were performed using CW laser at 532 nm wavelength by employing Z-scan technique. The nonlinear refractive index is found to be of the order of 10−9 cm2/W. Moreover, a variation of nonlinear refractive index with doping concentration is observed. Significant optical multiple diffraction rings of the sample under CW illumination at 4 mM, 8 mM and 12 mM doping concentrations were observed. The optical power limiting behavior of acid red 92 doped PMMA film was also investigated. The sample with 12 mM concentration has the best limiting effect among the other two concentrations.

Calculation of Some Electrical Properties of Poly Vinyl Alcohol Grafted with Eosin Dye (PVA-g-Ei)

The electrical conducting mechanism of newly synthesized polymer by condensation polymerization, poly vinyl alcohol grafted with Eosin dye (PVA-g-Ei) have been investigated. Electrical measurements including (current-voltage) and (conductivity-Temperature) characteristics at a range of temperature (313-368)K .The result shows that the sample has semiconductor behavior as its conductivity increases with the increasing temperature and the value of dark conductivity at R.T estimated from Ohmic region was about 1.04x10-13S/cm .The energy required to move electrons from valance band to conduction band can be estimated which about 0.52eV.The deviation from Ohmic law has been analyzed in terms of variable range hopping (VRH) conduction theories. Thermal properties were also studied to estimate the bipolar contribution to thermal conductivity of polymer.

In this paper, we introduce and study some direct results in simultaneous approximation for a generalization of Summation –Integral Szasz type operator . First, we establish the basic pointwise convergence theorem and then proceed to discuss the Voronovaskaja-type asymptotic formula. Finally, we obtain an error estimate in terms of modulus of continuity of the function being approximated.

Solving Definite Double Integrals by Simulation Methods

This paper introduces a new approach to find a satisfactory solution for definite double integration (DI) by using computer simulation method. The model, the roles and dynamic behavior for this system are built. This method uses this model by applying several experimentations. The results are good with small error because the model is statistical type.

A Novel Rule to Design a Perpetually Christian Calendar

The Christian Calendar is a gapped Calendar submitted to the mandatory of the papal authorities. Functionally, its two versions cannot be associated with each other. Surely, the Georgian Calendar cannot be drawn backwards neither to the starting point of AD’s "Anno Domini" nor to the BC’s “Before Christ” Eras; as well as the Julian one which hardly can keep pace forwards after its deadened; however, some countries used it into the early 1900s. Then, one can judge that, a rigorous rule to emulate a Perpetually Christian Calendar Eras is possibly hardly to obtain. In this study, a new version of the Christian Calendar had been made. By considering the “Sunday” to be the Christ birthday, we animate Dionysius calendar theory to gain a successful initial epoch day for the AD’s Era which we named to be the (Springboard Day). On the other hand, the axioms of reporting the (first & last) day for any sequence of years provides the headlines to design a simple tractable algorithm that illuminates the boundless timeline.

Histopathological changes and metabolic gene polymorphism caused by aramite exposure in experimental rats

A total of 40 experiment rats ( Rattus norvegicus) were divided into three groups of 10 rats for G.1 normal rats; 15 rat for G.2 that exposed to aramite with food daily for 90 days (5 g aramite/1 kg of pellet diet) and 15 rat for G.3 that exposed to aramite with water daily for 90 days(5 g aramite dissolved in 1 litter tap water ). The result shows that the rats that were treated with aramite suffer from significant increased the activity and level of GPT; GOT ; ACP and ALP (P≤0.05) compared with control group , so the results fixed the histopathological changes in liver and intestine with clear mutation in GSTM1 gene in rats that were exposed to aramite with diet and water compared with the normal control rats.

The Relative tumor volume (R.T.V) of mice treated orally, with levamisole in addition to a multiple injection of virulence Newcastle disease virus intratumoral (I.T), was shown a significant reduction (p<0.05) at the compared wih the tumor size pretreatment treatment, that means (95%)of the tumor size was regressed . Whereas in the group of mice treated with levamisole and injected with Newcastle disease virus intraperitonealy (I.P) ,the R.T.V was increased significant but a less than those in the negative and positive control groups.

Theoretical Study of Substituent Effect of Physical Properties and Conductivity of Cyclo(12)thiophene

The optimized geometries and energy bands (Eg) for neutral and protonated of 3-substituted-cyclo(12)thiophene (X-CT12) have been obtained by using the semi-empirical method at level PM3, the substituents were, H, CH3, OCH3, NMe2, Cl, CN and NO2. The Eg for protonated oligothiophenes all fall about 2 eV comparing with neutral ones. The substituent effect on molecular orbitals HOMO and LUMO were significant.
