A Correlation Analysis Study of Substituent Effects by 13C Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometry: Effect of Solvent on The Chemical Shift of Cα and C of Methyl Substituted Cinnamate.

The 13C Substituent Chemical Shifts (SCS) for Cα and C atoms for the meta-X, meta-CH2X and para-CH2X substituted methylcinnamate(X= H, Me, OMe, OPh, NMe2, F, Cl, Br, I, CF3, CN, NO2) in six different solvents (EtOH, Me2SO, Me2CO, CDCl3, CCl4 and C6H6), were modelled by two different types of substituent parameter: namely mono substituent parameter (MSP)(Hammett’s model), and dual substituent parameter DSP(modified Swain-Lupton model). For both C and Cα in meta-X series and the para-CH2X series, the quality of Hammett’s model and the modified Swain-Lupton model were found to be similar, while for C and Cα in the meta-CH2X series the modified Swain-Lupton model is the best one. There is no significant difference between the reaction constants values in the same model, of the same atom of the same series in different solvents. The final conclusion, is that no solvent effect on CH2X groups when studied by 13C NMR spectrometry on using Hammett’s and modified Swain-Lupton models.

A study of some biochemical parameters in blood serum of patients with chronic renal failure

This study was carried out on 55 patients(32males,23 females) with chronic renal failure aged (15-75)year admittedto al-dialysis unit in Kirkuk general hospital which compared with 35 healthy subjects as control group .The aim of this study is to investigate some biochemical parameters included urea ,creatinine ,uric acid, total protein ,triglycerides, total calcium ,inorganic phosphorus ,magnesium ,iron ,total iron binding capacity and ferritin in the serum of patients with chronic renal failure (CRF)before and after haemodialysis and to detect body mass index(BMI) and serum glucose in patientsbefore dialysisonly .

Preperation and study optical trasnpraency of spray deposted ZnS films with different annealing temperatures

The article reports the preparation of ZnS films prepared by chemical method, The band gap of ZnS films is calculated theirs value are nearly of (4 eV) for all samples The experimental diffraction angle θ and d- spacing values are in a well agreement with the standard ASTM data at all annealing temperature used (450,500,550,600 oC) of ZnS thin films. The grain size (D) increases with increasing temperature. The increase in the temperature of annealing leads to lower peaks of x- ray diffraction pattern for structural analysis. . The thickness of the prepared film is around (283nm).

The Brauer trees of the symmetric group S ̅_21 modulo p =11

In this study we find the Brauer trees of the groupS ̅_21 module p =11 which can give the irreducible modular spin characters of S_21 modulo p=11 , also we give the 11-decompostion matrix of spin characters of S_21 .

The Voronovskaya Theorem for q-Analogue of Szasz-Mirakjan Operators

In this present paper, we define q-Analogue sequence of Szasz-Mirakjan Operators R_(n,q)⁡(f,x) and introduce some direct results of these operators. First, we show that this sequence of operators R_(n,q)⁡(f,x) converges to f(x) as n tends to ∞. Also, we defined the m^th order moment T_(n,m)⁡(x) for R_(n,q)⁡(f,x) and we then find a recurrence relation for T_(n,m)⁡(x). Finally ,we find and prove a Voronovskaya –type asymptotic formula of this operator.

Variational Iteration Method for solving Two-Dimensional Reaction-Diffusion Brusselator System

This paper proposes the investigation of the variational iteration method to find the solutions for Two-dimensional Reaction-Diffusion Brusselator System . Analytic solutions of the linear partial differential equations with initial data are obtained. It has been shown that the method is quite efficient and is practically well suited for use in these problems. Moreover, a necessary and sufficient condition for convergence is given. Numerical test is investigated to illustrate the pertinent features of the proposed algorithm.

ISOLATION AND DETERMINATION OF SOME SUGARS OF ALLIUM CEPA LINN.(Liliaceae) USING COLUMN CHROMATOGRAPHY

The sugars in Allium CepaLinn.( onion);was isolated and fractionated using silica gel filtration technique.Thespectrum absorption of the isolated fractions by silica gel column was measured at 620 nm after treating each isolated fraction with anthrone reagent. The molecular weight of these fractions was calculated and found to be ranging: 530,190,140 Daltons.The paper chromatography showed 5 spots three of which have been detected as glucuronicacid ,galactose and mannose. In conclusion the information derived may be useful in the determination of Allium cepaLinn.( onion)’s contents in Iraq.

Synthesis of New Azomethine-N-oxide compounds and Study of Their Antifungal andAntioxidant Activities

In the present research two nitrones, azomethine-N-oxides, were synthesized. The structures of the synthesized compounds have been confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR spectral studies. The nitrones were screened for their antifungal activity against Asperigillus niger and Aspergillus flavus and the zone of inhibition was determined by disc diffusion technique. Both nitrones exhibited promising antifungal activity against fungi as compared with standard drug. The antioxidant properties for the synthesized nitrones were studied by using two in vitro models, such as conjugated diene and reducing power systems. From the results, found that both nitrones have good antioxidant activity compared with using the control, α-tochopherol.

Direct current modulation effects on the photons density InAs/InGaAs quantum dot semiconductor laser

Different dynamics ranging from period 1 to chaos are produced in the photon density PD of InAs/InGaAs quantum dot laser QDL under the effect of injection current modulation using a theoretical model. Death phenomena in the PD of the QDL was registered too . Weak and strong modulations of the injection current led to chaotic states. Bifurcation route appears to be the main route leading to chaos .

Arabic-text Extraction from Video Images

Automatic extraction of meaningful objects in video is extremely useful in many practical applications. Text objects embedded in video contain much semantic information related to the multimedia content. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm to detect/localize and segment Arabic static artificial texts embedded in video. Firstly, the edge map of a predetermined region of interest is detected in a single video frame. Projection profiles are adopted to localize the candidate text regions followed by some filtering rules which are used to filter out non-text regions. Secondly, since artificial text lasts for a certain time on screen for reasons related to human vision, therefore the temporal information are exploited in order to reinforce the recall and precision rates. Finally, a thresholding-based method is used for separating text pixels from background pixels and produce a binary text image. To improve high recognition rate, robust enhancement methods are adopted pre/post text segmentation. Experimental results show that our algorithm is robust.
